My students need iPads to help them connect technology and education! Along with iPads, my students also need carrying cases! This will allow our iPads to stay safe!
Do you remember a time where learning came ALIVE for you? A time when you were so engaged in a lesson that the time just flew right by? That is what I want for my first graders! I want them to be able to be comfortable with technology and use it to become more successful learners.
My students are an energetic and enthusiastic bunch of first graders from a city in Massachusetts called Lowell!
Lowell is an inner city school district and faces many challenges, such as technology! At home, not all of the students have access to computers, and at school we have a limited number. That is why this project is important!
My school is one elementary in this large district and it is amazing. We have a dedicated staff and great leadership. It is truly an enjoyable place to come to work every day.
My students are AMAZING! They are so smart and are really hard workers. I am absolutely in awe of them each day when they produce the types of work they do! They are thoughtful and engaged learners and deserve the best education they can get. It is my job each and every day to be the best I can be for these students and help guide them to be the people they want to become. I love my job as a teacher and I love these students.
My Project
I am requesting two iPads for my classroom. This will allow my students to better access applications that can enhance their learning. I would like to do more group work and sharing of ideas by integrating technology. The iPads I am requesting will help! With the addition of the two new devices, I will be able to have students working on reading intervention applications while I am working with small groups. I can rotate children around and use them as a "station". I can use the iPads in conjunction with an interactive white board that is coming to my classroom, too! I can also use the iPads to differentiate instruction during lessons! I will use it to challenge some of my higher learners. They will be able to create various projects using applications such as iMovie. I can also use it for my lower learners to reinforce hard to understand concepts.
These iPads will help make learning come alive!
The iPads will help motivate my first graders and make them better learners. It will allow the students to be more engaged and take part in hands on lessons! Along with the educational implications, iPads will also help prepare my students for the future. Using the iPads will help them gain the technological experience they need to become successful later in life.
