Do you have a favorite memory from school? Something you loved to do? I can think of a few of my own, and would like that for my own students! Technology is a great way to make learning come alive for students, and I want to do just that!
My students are a lively bunch of second graders from Lowell, MA!
They are energetic and very inquisitive! These kids love computers and technology, and have even taught me a thing or two along the way! As young learners, they are having their first experiences in school. It is my job to ensure they are positive ones!
My school is AMAZING! The staff I work with is dedicated and hardworking and we are like a family. These educators inspire me and motivate me to be a better teacher. I am very thankful for where I work!
My Project
This year I am moving to second grade from first grade. I will have a few of the same students I had in my first grade classroom. It is my job to make learning fun and interesting for all my students; iPads will help me accomplish this!
In my classroom I instruct in small groups at times. During small group learning, different groups need to be involved in various educational activities. iPads are great to use during this time! Students can independently learn at a level and pace that is comfortable for them, while I meet with other students.
iPads can also be used for various projects and quizzes!
The addition of these iPads would be extremely beneficial to my classroom and help my students be the best learners they can be!
iPads would allow the learning to come alive in my classroom!
Students will become more familiar with how to use the technology and I will be able to differentiate learning according to the varying academic levels of students.
Besides all the obvious benefits, my second graders will be able to have fun! These will help foster a love of learning and engage all learners!
