iPads And Protective Cases For Differentiated Learning

My students need iPad Minis and cases to use daily in reading and writing stations to practice skills they are learning in an engaging way. My students need protective cases.

My Students

My classroom is not the traditional fifth grade classroom. I have chosen to set it up in a way that allows for cooperative learning and student engagement. Each seventy minute class consists of reading and writing mini lessons, stations to enforce five key learning areas, and teacher conferences.

My classes this year consist of GT students and regular ed.

students who have a passion to learn more. They are very interested in technology but we do not have the resources for the students to access it daily. My school has a high percentage of students living in poverty, and it is considered Title One.

My Project

Students will be able to complete Genius Hour projects by discovering what they are truly passionate about. This will allow them to delve deeper into their personal interests and gifts as well as how this connects with the world. I believe once the students find their passions, they will be able to positively impact the world. Students will also use the iPads to reinforce the skills they have learned in the classroom and expand on them through engaging activities and projects.

Students will have knowledge at their fingertips.

They will be able to create projects to showcase their learning based on what is being taught in the classroom and their own interests. These higher level thinking projects will prepare students for the future while also allowing them to become more passionate about the things that matter to them individually. Students will be able to take ownership of their own learning, which will lead to true understanding.
