My Students

Every school day I look out into a classroom full of students, each one with whom I have a special bond. Not only are they culturally diverse, they are diverse in how they go about their learning. What type of learners are they? Auditory, visual, tactile, or a combination? What strategies will work?

I am fortunate to have 32 incredible, eager learners this year.

They are students from many cultures, with diverse learning needs. My class is made up of a very wide range of learners, from the academically gifted to 1/3 of my class who are academically challenged and receive additional instruction outside of our classroom. Although there are challenges, my students try their best, and they are proud of their accomplishments, however big or small they may be.

My Project

All of our 4th grade classes have 32 students, and having to share limited technology has become a huge problem. Having iPad Minis in our classroom will allow my students to access information faster for research projects, and they will be a source in helping to reinforce math skills through practice on district approved math websites.

Technology is so important in accessing information for learning, and we wish and expect our students to become lifelong learners.

Technology will play a big part in fostering this learning, now and in the future. Allowing my students access to research and practice via iPad Minis will help make a huge difference in seeing to the individual learning needs of each and every one of my students.
