Help me give my kids tools to facilitate collaboration and growth, and to raise up more digitally agile learners!
I teach at a Title I school, located in a high poverty area.
The school services two section 8 public housing communities, with more than 90% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. Despite coming from homes with very limited access, my students are becoming proficient navigators of technology and are eager to get their hands on more. They are energetic, inquisitive hard-workers, and overall an amazing bunch of kids. They come to school each day so excited to learn.
My Project
This iPad would be so beneficial in our classroom. My students will be able to research and use the Internet for projects, take Accelerated Reader tests, create and use QR codes, practice math facts and skills, use apps that go along with instruction and are supplemental to our textbooks, and so much more. We intend to use this iPad all day, in all content areas.
Technology is a necessary skill in our world today.
It is highly effective for motivating and increasing engagement for even the most reluctant students. By donating to this project, you would have a part in enhancing my students' learning.
