Inspired Readers and Authors Need an Abundant Library

My students need books, books, and more books with different themes and genres! My fourth graders are readers and writers who need a variety of mentor texts to improve their reading and writing skills.

My Students

Help us get our hands on a variety of books that will encourage our love for reading and writing. My students need a rich classroom library of mentor texts to help inspire their minds and their writing!

The most important thing my students can leave my classroom with is a love and passion for reading and writing.

I want my young, aspiring students to become readers, authors, poets, and book critics who truly enjoy creating pieces of writing that reflect deep understanding of a variety of genres. My students benefit from looking at a variety of mentor texts before they write.

My Project

These amazing books will give my students the opportunity to read and be exposed to a variety of genres. Students in my room write many different pieces including biographies, autobiographies, poems, graphic novels, book reviews, etc. By using mentor texts, or books that help teach a certain genre or skill of writing, students are aware of what their writing can be and it gives them a sense of purpose for writing that piece. It is extremely beneficial for my classroom to be filled with good books for students to learn from and experience before writing something similar.

These authors need your help!

Please help give them the tools they need to be successful writers. I try to inspire my students to want to improve their writing and have a sense of purpose. We celebrate writing in my classroom and these books from a variety of genres will inspire my students to create amazing pieces in all different genres.
