My Students

"Miss S.! I can't see!" I don't know how many times I have heard this in the middle of my reading or science lessons. Students in the classroom having trouble seeing exactly what I am doing in front of them. I believe a document camera could solve this problem.

I teach 5th grade reading and science.

I have a total of 25 reading students and 100 science students. I live in an area that is 56% percent free and reduced lunch. I am lucky enough to have a Promethean board in my class but no other resources to enhance the board. A document camera would be a very useful tool in my class.

My Project

This device will be great for students' multimedia projects across the curriculum or whole-class demonstration of manipulatives in action, book pages, science models and more. I will also be able to document student progress for assessment, and then upload files to digital portfolios or share with other educators or parents. I can even use the device to assess my own teaching and how I can become a better educator.
