My students need activities and resources including Lying Up a Storm, Bully B.E.A.N.S,Ricky Sticky Fingers and Thanks for the Feedback Books and Social Skills Board games Set, Bullies, Victims and Bystanders Board Games,What Should You, and Therapy Games so they can learn during their weekly Character Education classes and during individual and small group counseling sessions.
My daily routine as a school counselor consists of teaching Five Character Education classes per day and also completing individual and small group counseling sessions. In order for my amazing students to grow into proper citizens, they need valuable lessons to guide them.
Our town has a population of approximately 10,000.
We have 3 elementary schools in our district. My school has about 525 students enrolled. It is a very diverse community; 46% White, 26% African American, 19% Hispanic/Latino. 56% are considered low income. As a learning community we are committed to building a cohesive school where the focus is on the growth and success of every child. We recognize that a student's physical, social, and emotional well being is also relevant to learning. We believe each student has the right to a quality education where high academic standards are established and met. We believe every child can achieve and experience success in ways that reflect his or her own unique talents. Every child is encouraged to become a creative, motivated, life-long learner. Our school motto, "Where there is NO limit to learning,", is embedded in everything we do. We strive to create a safe, positive learning environment.

I plan to use these materials to during my weekly Character Education lessons and during individual and small group counseling sessions. As a new counselor, it is difficult to build up the resources that are needed to design valuable lessons and activities.
