My students need 8 solar car kits to extend their learning about alternative power possibilities in our society.

My students come from highly diverse homes with low socioeconomic issues. I strive to give them extensions to their classroom learning and experiences that broaden their perspective of our world.

My students have taken a passionate and keen interest in global warming issues. I honor their desire to lessen their carbon footprint in society by extending their learning about possible alternative power possibilities. We have already given classroom teachers compact fluorescent light bulbs to make our school more energy efficient. This learning project would give the students hands on experience with creating a solar powered car. In the small groups, each student will better understand the use of this renewable energy source for our world.

The eight solar car kits will assist us in extending our learning about renewable energy uses in our community. My students will see first hand how there is no pollution with the use of solar power in our classroom experimentation. Please assist us in this real world issues learning project.

Thank you to our potential donors for enhancing the learning outcomes by assisting us in taking practical steps to decrease our carbon footprint by using solar power experiments in our classroom. You can partner with us as we seek wise choices for powering a BRIGHT future for the next generation.
