"Do you see what I see?" Most of the time the honest answer to that question is no! My students can't always see the writing of their peers or what the teacher is showing the class. I am requesting a document camera and basic school supplies to help my students reach their fullest potential!
I teach in a suburban elementary school in Ohio with mostly low to mid middle-class families.
A portion of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch. My hardworking students are full of diversity and together we make a wonderful third grade family!
My Project
Having this one piece of classroom technology will engage my students. My students will be able to see small items, such as worksheets or small objects placed under the document camera projected onto the Smartboard. Students will play a hands-on role in the classroom by using the document camera to explain their reasoning to the entire class. Additionally, this technology will help cut down on costs of copying and will help our classroom go green!
Additionally, I am requesting a variety of everyday classroom supplies that we will use throughout the school year. We go through pencils, erasers, laminating sheets, and sanitizing wipes on a regular basis. Both my students and I cannot afford to bring in these requested school supplies, but we need these supplies on hand!
Help us start the school year off on the right foot with supplies we need to be successful!
I am confident with just a little support we can create a hands-on classroom by incorporating a document camera in our daily learning. I love my Indians and they need your support!
