Help us become fluent reader with headphones so that we can use the technology effectively!

We spend the majority of our day preparing and practicing for the State exams. If we could be able to listen to stories to help us get better at what we are learning in the classroom the can you imagine the endless possibilities of becoming GREAT readers. We are an inner city elementary school who live in a high crime, high poverty section of New York City. Everyday we strive to overcome our many obstacles and break out of this circle of poverty. We are hard working, conscientious students and try our best to focus and improve all the time.

My Project

Do you LOVE reading and math? So do my students! With your help and my computer lab, we can get each and every student read and do math better than with just pen and paper. These headphones will help all my students to grow as great readers and mathematicians. By using programs such as www.starfall.com and www.coolmath.com they will be able to enhance their learning. Our children will be learning in a fun and interactive way. They will be listening to stories, sounds, and direction with the headphones. So please help! Thank you.

My project is so important because I want my students to be proud of themselves.
