My students need this water bottle refill station to help reduce the plastic waste created in our school. We're trying to do what we can to help the environment.

My Students

Our school no longer sells soda pop to our students, and they are constantly encouraged to have a healthy diet. Drinking lots of water is a benefit to our students, however, this creates a lot of empty plastic bottles.

My students are typical midwestern kids who want to do what they can to help the environment.

Even though we are a small school in a small community, we encourage our kids to think globally. Our school is very well respected for our use of technology, and our cutting edge attitudes toward education. By installing these water bottle filling stations in our building, we will be able to illustrate the positive impact that just a few people can have on the environment.

My Project

During our school day, our students are allowed to purchase healthy snacks and bottled water. We envision our students being able to continue to buy their healthy snacks, but they will be able to refill their water bottles whenever necessary. By using refillable water bottles we will greatly reduce the negative impact that we have on our environment.

Our school will benefit greatly from the reduced plastic waste and the increased consumption of water by our students.

As our students become accustomed to drinking water instead of pop, they will see very real health benefits. This will not only help them as students, but it will help create healthy individuals with healthy habits.
