My students need a 3D printer to enhance the hands-on experience in engineering, science, and technology and learn how to solve real-world problems.

My Students
Technology is the future. I teach my students real world applications and how to apply their knowledge. I start off every class with a video on how people are making changes to better the world. The applications for science and technology are ever present. Hands on materials assist in making change.
My students enjoy my classes as an opportunity to express themselves and be creative.
Classes are a relaxed, project based environment.
I teach all of the technology courses in my High School including Architecture Design, Engineering, Multimedia Design, Computer Science and Robotics. One of my personal goals is to create an interest for all students. It is a common stereotype that men dominate the engineering field in America. I feel that jobs with technology should provide equal opportunities for both men and women. Hopefully more technology will inspire more people to explore new fields in technology and engineering.
One of the growing programs in school is known as STEM. Science and engineering are some of the most popular programs in our school. Some students say that with more technology, the curriculum could evolve to include more classes such as bio-engineering and advanced robotics.
My Project
The applications of a 3D printer are limitless. Not only could it be used in my engineering courses, but throughout the entire school. Imagine having children design 3D triangles for a geometry class while learning about their properties. Imagine a biology course that has physical large scale models of cells and DNA.
Specifically in technology courses, we would be able to design products for the school and community. Students would be able to design and test bridges that they would be able to build as adults. In robotics or even a new bio-engineering course, students could build prosthetics and make a difference for someone else's life.
School is all about preparing students for the real world and teaching them how to be good citizens. With a 3D printer, my students' minds would be able to run wild and focus on imagination. The world is nothing without people who desire to make a difference. I want my students to learn how to apply their knowledge and make a difference for others.
By being a donator, you will be able to directly change a student's life by allowing them to be more in tune with real world technologies.
A 3D printer will allow my students to be creative. It will also teach them how to apply their knowledge to real world problems. It will hopefully increase the opportunities to pursue engineering. A 3D printer will create new opportunities for the school, community, and world. Most importantly, it will allow students to seek new and greater opportunities.
