Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

I want my students to be passionate about reading and excited to learn new things.
My students are creative, bright individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds and who have various interests. They are predominantly from low-income families. The majority of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch; therefore, some are unable to afford their own books.
My Project
Through reading, my students expose themselves to new things, new information, and a world of imagination. These nonfiction books will provide rigor in my Language Arts and Science instruction. In addition, my students will expand their knowledge of historical figures and grasp reading comprehension at a deeper level.
Nonfiction books give my students an opportunity to learn about others, the world around them, and even about themselves! Donating to my project will help build their reading, research, and note-taking skills.
