This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Third grade students love science. They like to learn new things about the world.

My students are very inquisitive.

They like to investigate and see how things work. My school is a Title I school which lacks many resources. I would like to offer my students learning opportunities that otherwise they would not have. Mad Science offers workshops where students are taught a concept while having fun.

My Project

My students will have the opportunity to have a Mad Science Machines workshop where an instructor will come to our classroom to experiment with levers, ramps, axles and pulleys. At the end of the one-hour workshop, students will take home their own Mad Science race car.

My project will make a difference because the students will have a chance to learn about how machines work.

They will be able to experiment with pulley and levers. At the end of the workshop, the students take a race car that they built.
