My students need math read alouds, such as What's Your Angle, Pythagoras? and Math Curse to help them visualize the math concepts that they are learning in my class!

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to sit through math class wishing that you had more examples to learn each concept? In many cases, my students have not had the opportunity to dig deeper into math and I am hoping to provide this experience for them!

My students are wonderful!

They live in a rough area on the South side of Chicago and don't always have the needed resources to be successful in school. Our school was just re-opened last year after being closed due to very poor performance. Even though my students don't have a lot of outside resources, they are talented, bright and have great potential to be successful! I feel honored every day that I get to teach and learn from such a wonderful group of children!

My Project

By donating to my project you will change the lives of my students! These math stories will bring math concepts alive and deepen my students understanding of each skill. Last year, we wore out our pencil sharpener and we definitely need a new one so that we can be successful this year. Also, the skill builders will help my students practice math problems on many different levels. Practice makes perfect!
