Help My Preschoolers Leap Into Learning With New Technology!
My students need 5 LeapFrog Pads to enhance educational experiences, 5 sets of headphones for little ears, and 5 gel skins to protect our pads if little fingers slip!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Preschool students learn best while at play. One critical piece of our preschoolers educational experience is lacking, TECHNOLOGY! Help our preschool class "leap" into the 21st century with new LeapFrog Pads!
Our classroom consists of 18 four and five year old students that are full of energy and that love to learn!
They love to explore new things as a group and independently. Our students especially love to learn through interactive games and hands-on experiences. There is only one problem, we have one classroom computer!
My Project
Having additional technology in our classroom will have a huge impact on students' kindergarten readiness and our ability to differentiate learning for all students. My students need 5 LeapFrog Pads to enhance educational experiences, 5 sets of headphones for little ears, and 5 gel skins to protect our pads if little fingers slip! During small group rotations students will love the ability to play hands-on games at their own learning pace. Students will be engaged and actively learning numerous kindergarten readiness skills such as letter recognition, letter sounds, numbers, counting, social skills, and early reading and writing skills. They will be able to write letters using a stylus, unleash their creativity painting and creating digital art, take photographs and read books all while using their LeapFrog Pads.
Through this project we will be able to better differentiate learning for our students and help them prepare for kindergarten.
Students will become more confident in their ability to practice skills independently and will also gain exposure to technology in the classroom. Not to mention they will have a lot of fun learning!
