Help My Fifth Graders Get Organized!

My students need chair pocket organizers to hold their self selected reading books and math tools.

My Students

Every morning we start our day with Math. I have 25 energetic 5th graders. The students need to be organized and able to find their tools to help them complete their work. My students check out 5 books a week for pleasure reading and they have no where to keep their books.

My students come from all walks of life into my 5th grade classroom ready for me to motivate, teach, and love them.

Some of my students love school, some of my students hate school. I want my students to be life long learners. I want them to love reading, not because I'm making them read but because they want to read. I teach in a suburban school with a great reputation and good support system.

My Project

The chair pockets I am requesting will help my students to be organized and know where their reading books and math tools are when needed. The chair pockets will eliminate the scattered books that surround each desk because there is no where to put them. It will help keep books from getting torn up from being thrown on the floor and math tools from getting lost.

The chair pockets will improve the overall organization of my students and my classroom.

It will build self esteem in each of my 5th graders because they will feel organized which helps them feel successful.
