Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Life Skill of Exercise and Nutrition in an effort to combat obesity: Our requested items are part of a curriculum to teach not only nutrition education but also workouts effects on a healthy body, nutrition and exercises students will use for the rest of their lives.

Our High School is a Title I school with many cadets coming from single family homes.

My students are JROTC Cadets who not only take leadership classes, but a survival class as well. They are the cadets who also want a physical challenge they do not get from school PE. The items requested will assist me in introducing Cross Fit which will greatly benefit these cadets . Life tools will be used to fight obesity in themselves, other students and some day their own families. Leadership in the classroom is very important but so is the physical confidence to lead from the front. Cadets have to be healthy and they will take this knowledge and confidence into college with them. Being able to look into a cadet's eyes and see hope for the future is priceless. Please help me help them become successful young adults. Help make a difference in our future.

My Project

Inspiring these young adult’s through Leadership Education and physical fitness is paramount to their successes. No other general education classes can provide these life skills. Obesity in America is out of control which is projected to increase the health care system’s already taxed program. Please assist me in educating 130 future Leaders of America in spreading health. The requested items will be used daily in the fitness and education of healthy lifestyles. These high school cadets want a physical challenge they cannot get in PE like Cross Fit style of exercises. Many of these students will go on to college and should not be afraid to join fitness classes while in college. Many of our cadets come from broken homes and JROTC becomes like a second home or a safe place to be. Providing the much needed self-confidence in them makes students challenge each other to succeed. Thank you for your consideration.

Healthy students are happier students who will do better in their academics and be strong and intelligent leaders in our future.

Please help them accomplish everything they deserve out of life while also making this world a better place to live. These future leaders will strive to make the next generation of kids stronger smarter and more productive. Plus, this equipment should last for many years and many more cadets.
