My students need an iPad 2 to research: recycling, waste reduction, and the use of plastic free products; health, wellness, nutritional fitness, and bullying.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Would you like to help my students trash bullying with the technological wonder, the iPad2? You can do just that as we research health, wellness and nutrition fitness to make sound bodies. Additionally, we can study waste reduction and recycling, on the unit. Your donations will reduce bullying!

My second grade students come from loving homes with supportive parents.

The DonorsChoose official designation for my school is that of a high poverty area. Additionally, most of the students at school are on free meal plans for both breakfast and lunch. Finally, many of these children are English Learners. The students at this school have appreciated the supplies and equipment that have been provided by both individual and corporate donations from people like you. Thank you in advance for not only considering my projects, but those of my fellow teachers, and neighboring schools in my area. All acts of kindness are most appreciated, and again I thank you.

My Project

This is a great technological age we now live in. The iPad2 is a shining example of this. This item will allow my students to research Health, Wellness, Nutrition and Fitness on the Internet to strengthen both their minds and bodies in this challenging world. Sound and healthy bodies make good decisions. Decisions about our world and bullying. Additionally, my children will also research recycling, waste reduction, and the use of plastic free products. This will make for a much cleaner and greener world. Finally, my healthy and environmental youngsters will then be ready to take on one of the major problems in school, bullying. My goal is to reduce bullying with good character and a clean world. Thus, we can reduce the bully by recycling him into a good citizen. The iPad2, with its large size touch screen, will be perfect for the lessons described above. The touch technology and bright display will be excellent for small group instruction.

Donors, your support of this iPad2 project will make a difference in three critical areas of my students' lives.

Health education is important for all children. Sound minds and bodies make for better students and character. Secondly, I regularly tell my kids that in the future they will inherit the world. They will be responsible for making the earth a safe environment. Finally, a green planet with healthy minds can help to reduce bullying to the point of extinction. Thanks for your support.
