Hands-on Toward the Future with Aline STEM Program
My students need the Smart TV, mounting bracket, and cables so that we can utilize more peer to peer teaching in our Technology Engineering/STEM course.
I wish to engage my students in peer-to-peer hands-on activities in our Technology Engineering/STEM classroom. Areas of study include: construction, robotics, and 3d modeling engineering.
My students live in a small rural community with little outside experiences to business and industry.
This equipment will allow peer-to-peer teaching/learning by engaging all learners in hands-on lab activities built on industry practices. I wish to see our students develop public speaking and peer supported teaching in 3d modeling CAD, residential construction, B.E.S.T. robotics building and programming, along with principles of engineering. This will allow our students the tools to continue to a post-secondary training and into the workforce. This course work provides and opportunity that these students would otherwise not have available.
My Project
The Smart TV, mounting bracket, and cables will be placed in the front of the classroom and every student's computer can be pulled up via software so students can serve as peer tutors to help explain content, direct processes, and enhance learning. Students today are learning technology in a different way and challenges teachers to keep up. Peer-to-peer teaching will engage a learner that may be otherwise missed. I believe this will engage all learners while training students to step out of their comfort zone and become lifelong learners and leaders.
I believe that your donations will allow our students to develop a better understanding of technology, hands-on applied activities, and develop leadership skills.
I expect more students to be engaged in the teaching/learning process and I feel this style of teaching will develop a lifelong learner that will have the right attitude toward business and industry careers.
