"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose." --Dr. Seuss
As graduating 5th graders, my students are excited about middle school and the future ahead. I want to celebrate their hard work by going on an awesome graduation trip!
We are a Title 1 school, and our whole school receives free lunch.
My students love school and are truly sad when summer vacation comes. They love being with their friends and learning new material. School is their social outlet, since many of them do not have the opportunities to socialize outside of school. Many of my students are English language learners and are new to the country. Our school is like a second home to our students.
My Project
My students take school very seriously. They work hard to increase their reading levels and to learn their multiplication facts. They deserve a trip to relax and release their energies. As a way to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments over the last six years of elementary school, my students will be going to Chelsea Piers for a bowling and sports party.
Unfortunately, many of their families cannot afford the cost of the trip. By funding this project, I hope to provide them with an opportunity that they would not be able to have outside of school. I also want them to know how proud of them I am for the work they have put in.
Donations will provide my students a graduation trip that will serve as a lasting memory of their time in elementary school.
It will allow them one last chance to hang out and be a kid with their classmates. This trip will give the kids a chance to experience bowling and other activities that they have never experienced before.
