Getting College-Ready in Middle School Means Organization
We need 70 sets of divider tabs to make this a success.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Knaus's classroom raised $487
This project is fully funded
I teach a class called AVID, which takes average students and gives them a push with organization and writing skills that will propel them through high school and into college.
My AVID students all have binders to organize all their classes. They have a big binder and divider tabs for each class.
Many non-AVID students have asked me for binders so that they can be organized too.
I've been able to track down binders!!! I'd love to start handing them out and getting all of our 7th and 8th graders organized. Organization is a huge skill that teachers take for granted. However, the lack of organization is hurting each of our students.
We need 70 sets of divider tabs to make this a success.
I can't imagine a my life not being organized. However, most of our students have no organization, either at home or at school. Giving them the supplies and knowledge to be organized at school will help them immensely in their future, no matter what type of career they choose.
In addition, we will work with each student to ensure that they are being successful with organization through direct instruction in each classroom.
The students we work with will graduate from high school in 2013 and college in 2017. Your donation will give you a workforce that can be organized, can manage their work and be productive members of you organization and the world. Thank you for choosing to support our 7th and 8th grade students!!!
