Facilitating Focus and Reducing Stress through Bouncy Bands
My students need Bouncy Bands to help them move while seated at their desks. It will help anxious or hyperactive students to focus during class without disturbing others.
At the front of my classroom is the quote, "Exceed Expectations!" I always encourage my students to go beyond what is expected of them and to strive to always work harder, practice more, be better, and to go beyond what teachers, parents, coaches, and friends expect out of them.
I teach fifth grade in a public school classroom.
There are 23 students in my class this year. I strive for a happy and active classroom where children enjoy learning and each other. My students enjoy being creative and aspire to do their best in school. The children come from a variety of backgrounds. Our school qualifies as a moderate poverty school.
My Project
My students, like students in any classroom, are active and exuberant about learning. Sometimes, however students can be anxious, stressed-out, or find it hard to concentrate for a variety of reasons. Many students like to move and find it hard to sit still and concentrate at the same time. I have had great success at relieving this stress by adding a spin bike to my classroom. Students still find it hard to sit at a desk and focus in on a lesson when their bodies just want to more. A Bouncy Band at each student's desk will give my students the ability to move while at their desks. Students will find it easier to focus without anxiety or hyperactivity.
I am a teacher who wants his students to achieve to their highest levels.
Sometimes anxiety or hyperactivity can interfere with a child's focus. Having a Bouncy Band at each student's desk will give students a simple and positive way to ease the stress they may be feeling without feeling distracted or bothering others.
