Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help open the eyes of children who are eager to learn about exciting ideas and current events! Through the use of educational children's magazines, my students will be able to appreciate and venture on reading-based science/history articles! With Your help my students will build schema!

Most if not all of my student's come from low socioeconomic disadvantaged backgrounds.

For my students, school is the "safe harbor"of learning environment. Their families can't afford trips to local museums, nonetheless, for a subscription to a good educational magazine.

My Project

Throughout the week, students are exposed to Reader's Workshop and Literature Circles. During this block, students learn a specific skill which then, in turn , they'll get to practice individually or as a group. At the end of this reading block, students proceed to "write" on an interesting reading part or article they've read. They also have to identify the genre. Unfortunately, this year, neither I or my school have been able to provide funding for extra reading resources(expository). By donating these magazine articles to my class, you will be giving my students exciting and interesting venues to brighten their reading and learning experiences!

These students are our future, they deserve the best!

Let's continue giving our future the chance to be Literate and have a build a love for Literacy. Please donate, you will be giving them a chance to have a wide range of diverse literacy tools!
