EA Warriors Need Drums to March Into Battle

My students need marching snare drums. The snare drums we have are not repairable and are very old.

My Students

The E.A. Marching Band has struggled since its inception in 2000. When I took over 4 years ago we had 12 members, now we have 50. The snare drums we have are no longer round due to years of abuse and will soon be unplayable.

High School is a college-prep high school. It has been awarded the US News and World Report School of Promise award for the past four years. The members of the "Marching Warriors" who used to be a subject of ridicule are now a respected part of the school. The majority of the band students consistently make the honor roll and are members of the National Honors Society.

My Project

The E.A. band performs at all football games, several parades and community events. The drumline is the heartbeat of the band and they are in desperate need of these new snare drums. These drums are beautiful, lightweight and sound fantastic. The drumline will be very excited to play on instruments worthy of their talent and dedication.

For years Marching Warriors was a symbol of pride throughout the community.

Recently the band has had several set backs. The band has often been subjected to ridicule from the student body. Over the past four years the Marching warriors are earning back the popularity and respect that they deserve. These new drums would go along way in restoring that pride.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
