My Students

Every year we celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday--and so does every other school! It is very difficult to find books during that time.

These students love to read and yet we have limited access to books.

We are a high poverty school, and usually the only chance students have to read is in school. These students rarely visit the library and I want them to be exposed to all of Dr. Seuss' wonderful books!

My Project

I am requesting a variety of Dr. Seuss books that we can use all year and especially to use during an author/book study near Dr. Seuss' birthday each year. Students will learn all about Dr. Seuss and read his classic books! I have requested each classic, so that we can compare and contrast all the books he has written!

This is so important because especially around his birthday, Dr. Seuss books are very hard to find in any library and I want these students to learn, read and enjoy the wonderful Dr. Seuss!
