My Students

We are in the process of recovery from the March 2nd tornado that destroyed our school. My goal when we move back into our building is to make it better than it was so the students will feel safe and secure. I want them to be able to learn new things and express and share their ideas.

My students have been displaced from their school by the forces of nature,an EF4 tornado.

Currently we are in a temporary location. We hope to be home by next school year. My students are in the 5th grade and ready to learn and share new ideas. My class this year is very inquisitive. They are a group of students that want new and different ways to learn. This project will benefit my new students next school year, hopefully at our home school location. I want them to be able to use new technology and go where we have never gone before. Our Elementary school houses about 700 students. Ninety of those are in the 5th grade. We are in a rural section of Southern Indiana.

My Project

My students lives have been changed forever. I want them to be able to move on and start a new beginning. This document camera and slate will enable my students to learn using new and exciting tools. There are so many ways these items can be used in the classroom to enhance our learning experience. Students will be able to take advantage of new digital resources. They will be able to interact and see items like they have never seen before. We can show and tell about things they bring to class and see it like they have never seen it. We can review and share writing, study maps, and look at science like never before. These are just of few of the things this new learning tool can help them accomplish.

Your donation to this project will help my students get a new and fresh start to using technology they have never seen or used before.

The out pouring of help for us since March 2 has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated. We have new items that we have never had. This project will be one more we can add to our bag of tools. Our students have been through so much since March 2nd, I want to continue giving them something positive to remember from this terrible experience.
