Do You Want to Save Your Work? Yes...Laminate It!

My students need a laminating machine to preserve classwork and projects.

My Students

As the only school in our state with an engineering and technology curriculum at the elementary level, we are currently competing to keep up with the latest technology. The laminating machine will allow me to do just that! Student work, displays, and projects will be preserved for years to come!

Opening up a new school is exciting, yet challenging at the same time.

As a choice school, we serve a diverse population of students from across the district. As the only school in our state with an engineering curriculum at the elementary level, the students at our school have unique learning experiences and opportunities. Along with engineering, technology is an integral part of the curriculum, which is used to complete engineering units and class projects. Students love coming to school to create, design, and engineer using the technology around them. Since technology is ever changing, it is necessary to stay current and abreast the latest trends and practices. Providing my students with the latest advances in technology supports the mission and vision of our school.

My Project

According to Grace Fleming, learning styles researcher, when visual learners use a visual aid when studying, like a colorful outline of test materials, he or she may retain more information. For this type of learner, visual tools improve the ability to recall information more completely. The laminating machine will allow me to save work for my students who need the visual stimulation. After students create projects in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Photostory, copies can be made for students to display for others to see and laminated to keep for years to come. With the laminating machine, students can share technology projects with others and not worry about it being torn or damaged. Handouts, pictures, photographs and other support documents will be preserved to support student learning.
