My Students

Grossed out by students returning from recess licking the red dust from nacho-flavored cheese puffs off their fingers, I hope you will support my efforts to encourage healthy living with a gift of Jumpbands, folk dance music, and nutrition books and games.

Hola, and welcome to my proposal to support the health and fitness of curious, earnest, and eager first graders who represent five different languages at home.

These deserving children attend a high poverty school in a district that cut all elementary physical education, music, and computer teachers from the budget, in a state that is #1 in prison spending and #47 in education spending.

My Project

Children are always energized, happier, and readier to concentrate after an aerobic break. Jumpbands and folk dancing are just the motivation they need to increase aerobic activity, develop coordination and strength, and practice sportsmanship, cooperation, self discipline, and team building while promoting brain cell growth. To supplement their aerobic activity, they will also greatly benefit from books and games that teach them about healthy eating.

I hope you will help our bodies stay trim while our brains grow large with a gift of Jumpbands, games, books, and music.
