My Students

Help my first graders discover how much fun learning math can be! Math can be a challenge for many students, but with hands-on math games, ALL my students can become successful problem solvers.

My students are AMAZING!

They are active learners who need more than a worksheet to become strategic thinkers. Our school is a typical Midwestern, suburban school that has faced budget cuts, like so many other schools in the nation. My students deserve to have the very best resources to help them become true mathematicians!

My Project

I would like to implement Math Work Stations into my daily math instruction, but my classroom currently lacks the necessary tools needed for optimum student success. With the addition of math literature, animal and bug counters, and pocket chart centers, I can create math stations where students can cooperatively experience each math skill. Through Math Stations students will receive differentiated math instruction. However, because of the current lack of math materials in my classroom, my students miss the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of math.
