My students need HP ink, photo paper, card stock paper, colored art paper, and USB flash drives to create posters and cards for their Leo Club community service projects.
My Leo Club students are caring individuals who want to give back to their community by volunteering. If wonderful donors like you gift them with the supplies they need, the students can create posters that encourage people to "Pay It Forward" and create cards for local hospital patients.
A group of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students from a Title 1 school in West Virginia are proud to serve others in our local community.
These Leos are young philanthropists that are friendly, active, and dedicated to participating in youth volunteer opportunities. Through the Leo Club, students not only learn how to connect to their community members, but they also learn how to "Pay It Forward" by helping others and telling those they help to assist their fellow man when they are back on their feet. Throughout the course of the school year, students conduct food and toy drives, collect supplies for the animal shelter, clean up the community and plant trees, write cards to local hospital patients and Veterans, raise money for non-profit organizations, and so much more. I am blessed to work with such a diverse group of students that genuinely care about the people around them.
My Project
Students will create posters throughout the course of the school year that will promote their fundraising activities and charitable events for the Leo Club. In addition, the children will craft beautiful Get Well Soon cards for the local hospital patients and Veterans. The USB stick drives will be utilized to save their work. The HP ink cartridges, card stock, and colored paper will be used to print eye-catching posters and beautiful cards. Students will not only learn how to write persuasively, but they will also understand how to comfort those in need. In addition, the children will be able to make a difference in the lives of their community members through their work. These acts will foster a love for helping others. The life lessons learned in this club will create strong and positive philanthropists that will make a difference in our community for years to come.
Donors, we are so appreciative of your kindness and support.
Please gift us the supplies we need to spread compassion to our community members. Your donations will have an incredible impact on so many people! Thank you!
