Compassionate Kids Campaign - Take Two!

My students need photo paper, colored ink cartridges, a blank ink cartridge, DVD-Rs, and a Nook to complete out Compassionate Kids Campaign Project - Take Two!

My Students

You have already helped my students to change the lives of young cancer patients by funding my first Compassionate Kids Campaign. Please be our shining stars, and help us to make a difference once again.

At the beginning of the year, my students were rambunctious, selfish, and at times, ungrateful.

Once our Compassionate Kids Campaign project was funded, that all changed! My students read the novel When One Door Closes, which is about a young teen, her family, and her friends all trying to cope with her cancer diagnosis. After reading the story, I challenged my students to start putting the needs of others before their own. They responded in a tremendous way! By using the cameras, printer, ink, photo paper, and DVD-Rs we received at the beginning of the year, the students made beautiful persuasive posters and videos that convinced their community to donate money towards Make-A-Wish Foundation and our local children's hospital's Ronald McDonald House. The kids raised $1,450.00 in two weeks! We held an emotional ceremony and donated the funds in memory of a young student we lost to cancer a couple years ago.

My Project

We need new ink cartridges, photo paper, DVD-Rs, and a Nook, so my students and I would be able to complete another Compassionate Kids Campaign project. Now that the kids have the "Pay It Forward" mentality, I don't want it to end! By obtaining these resources, my students would be able to continue their "giving trend" by helping other sick young people in our community. The Nook will be help my reluctant readers to absorb our next novel on helping others. The other supplies will enable my kids to create more posters and videos. Please help my students to maintain their "Pay it Forward" attitude!

If my students raised over one thousand dollars in two weeks, what could they do in their next endeavor?

The sky is the limit, and I believe your donation to this project will not only benefit the lives of my students, but the lives of our ill youngsters. Please "Pay It Forward!" I know we will!
