My Students

I like to do a great deal of small group interventions with my students. I feel that when they are able to use technology, they are more engaged in the lesson. I try to differentiate my instruction as much as possible to try to meet the individual needs of my students.

I teach first graders.

They are a very energetic group of kids and love doing hands-on activities. We have a wide range of students in our school and varied ability levels. Some students rarely get to use technology when they are at home, so it would be nice to incorporate more into the classroom.

My Project

I would like to integrate more technology into the classroom. I would like to be able to use multiple apps in order to meet the individual needs of my students. I have 2 students who have been diagnosed with Autism and they seem to excel more when they are driven with technology. I would like to at least have 2 iPads so they can partner up and work together on them.

This project would enable me to incorporate more technology into my classroom and hopefully be able to reach more students.

I would like to see it increase their interest in math and reading, and help to build a foundation that they can carry with them into later grades.
