My Students

Our nation's economy has finally hit the classroom! With our most recent budget cuts, I am left out of funding to replace our most essential school supplies.

I teach in a multicultural classroom.

Many of my kids come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. We bring all that diversity to one place and have a great time learning and growing together. We live along the Gulf Coast and enjoy learning about the outside world. We are a part of a very large school. There are more that 1,200 students at our elementary school. We try hard to make our class stand out from the rest!

My Project

I am requesting many small items for this project. After multiple years of teaching, some of my basic supplies have begun to wear out. My sharpener no long sharpens pencils properly, my hole punch fell on the tile floor this year and no longer works, and we use our pencils until they are stubs and we run out of erasers way before the led runs out.

If this project is funded, my kids will have the basic learning resources at their fingertips.

Even though families may be struggling at home, I do not want my students to learn how to do without in the classroom.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
