This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When you have a question what do you do? Yes, you probably search the Internet. Today's classroom curriculum is also set up for students to utilize the information available through the internet.

My fifth grade students are young adults of today who are constantly looking for inspiration in their learning.

They have limited access to technology at home but technology definitely capture my students' attention and interest. The three old computers that we currently have in the classrooms is constantly in use throughout the day for reading practice and writing.

My Project

With the PC tablet, students will be able to access the Internet at a faster speed then the old computers that we have at the school. This will allow students to use the resources that is available through the Internet that enhance their learning. The tablet can be arranged to be used by a group of students for research or set up to be used at a center for independent study. Students will conduct research on the tablet and use educational apps for practice.

A classroom PC tablet will give my students the opportunity to learn to use current technology that is changing the way people use the computer and the Internet.

They will learn to access the Internet more efficiently and find the resources that is available for them. Learning will be enhanced and students will become more familiar with today's technology.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
