Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class is a combination of lecture, recitation, and problem solving. By the end of the school year, they are expected to be prepared to take an AP Physics exam. "If at first you no not succeed, try, try, again." William Edward Hickson

Our students are very advanced and motivated young men and women.

We are a magnet school in a large urban district, serving a varied population. The majority of our students are considered lower socioeconomic level, and will be the first in their families to go to a university.

My Project

We are in the process of supplying our students with laptop computers for them to use both at home and in their classes starting next year. As a part of their efforts to make use of the technology, I am supplying them with a number of enrichment materials, including both printed material and a set of videos that were produced at our school.

By supplying the students with advanced enrichment materials on SD cards for their school issued laptops, I am helping them to succeed in a very advanced Advanced Placement Physics program.

This program is being offered to the students much earlier in the high school experience than is available in any other school.
