My Students

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'! We are ready to start conquering the impossible.

My students are so wonderful.

They are the ones I go to work for everyday; to see them grow physically, emotionally, and academically. I have students of many kinds. They come from many different economic status', multicultural backgrounds, and support systems. The one thing they have in common is the love of learning. This year I'll be teaching Kindergarten. Last year I taught Second graders. No matter where I am at this school or what grade level I teach, my students need the intensive, creative, and fun learning environment that permits success.

My Project

In my classroom you see active learning. Involved students listening, talking and most importantly growing. They do this everywhere in the room, but more than 50 percent of it takes place on the carpet. Normally in front of this carpet you see me, a chair, a small white board that sits on my lap, and a basket of materials on the floor. This is where a lot of our learning takes place. The students interact with me, each other, and these materials to learn. Sometimes I'm writing a math problem for them to solve with a partner. Other times I have students come and correct something on the white board. They interact with the materials and activities to learn many different things in many different subject areas. With this new Chart Caddy I can organize all of these materials to make learning flow more easily and present lessons in a more effective manner. The students will be more able to interact with and focus on a larger board and more organized materials.

You have no idea how important this project is to me.

It is only my second year teaching. I'm also a very young teacher in my early 20's. I don't have very many materials or the extra means to buy the things that I really need and that my kids need. After evaluating how much time was lost last year in instructional time from not being able to teach efficiently at the carpet, I decided that this chart caddy would benefit my students' learning immensely.
