Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Let us introduce ourselves. We are a first grade class of 12 boys and 9 girls. We proudly celebrate our Native American, Hispanic, Laotian, and European heritages. We have two additional special students that join us from the autism room during center time.

We are learning how to read! And, in doing so, we are allowed to keep 3-5 reading books at our desk. Unfortunately, we lose the books in our desks and waste a lot of time hunting for them when we could be reading!

There are some special pockets that just fit our first grade desk chairs. We are hoping we can get one for each of our chairs to keep our special reading books in!

With your help, we are can keep our books in our special new pockets that fit over our chairs. That way, we won't lose them and we will spend more time READING! Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!
