Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Late last year, some of my second grade students were bullied by older children while on the yard during recreation time. If the students would have had the bullying lessons, in a technological modern classroom setting that are part of this project, the problem probably never would have existed.

A low income area would define the population of my elementary school.

A majority of these children would be classified as English Learners. My students come from good homes. However, most are on free meal plans, which includes both breakfast and lunch. The public school they attend is in a mostly safe residential area.

My Project

The resources in this project, the bullying book and the computer desktop, will change my students through the technological and literacy learning of bullying lessons. To start with, my students will be able to do the literacy lessons provided by the bullying book to be included with this project, "Bullying in Schools." Additionally, they will be able to research bullying on the world wide web with the Compaq Desktop Computer. Through the use of this technology in a modern classroom setting, along with the mentioned resources, my students will learn how to handle bullying situations. Furthermore, these new resources will add to the growing technological center that has been growing in the last few months due to contributions from fine donors like you.

The requested book on bullying and Compaq Desktop Computer will allow my second graders to research bullying regularly in the classroom that we wish to make a bully free zone. This project will teach children how to handle themselves, and hopefully lead a life free of bullying stress. This project will facilitate learning and creativity in a modern classroom setting, by adding to a technological center.
