My students need essential band supplies including practice pads, implements, reeds, and lubricants in order to successfully develop as young musicians.

My Students

Following a recent natural disaster here in southwest Missouri, many of the band students here are really hurting for necessary supplies and equipment.

First and foremost, my band kids are exceptional human beings.

Not only have they endured an EF 5 tornado, but they are overcoming the associated difficulties with living conditions, rebuilding, and they still find the strength to stay focused in school. Music making is one of the only escapes for these students, and I make it my duty to keep them engaged and excited.

My Project

All Band students need equipment. Its as simple as that! Many students at my school no longer have the things they need to stay successful in band. Percussionists need practice pads and sticks to take home and work on their music. Clarinets and saxes need new reeds and mouthpieces to get a good sound on their horns. My kids need these simple resources in order to move on and progress musically, academically, and emotionally.
