My Students

A typical day in kindergarten requires engaging activities to keep my students involved and maintain their attention. As a kindergarten teacher, I hope to make this year a year for them to have engaged learning through interactive educational activities on iPads.

I teach in a low income school district.

A majority of my students come from low income families and do not have the opportunity to use technology. Often times my students come to school unprepared for the day and keeping their attention is very hard. They require more engaging lessons that will not only spark their interest, but will keep them motivated to come to school. My students are dependent on me to provide them opportunities to meet their needs and to boost their confidence in their education. My school promotes student growth and the use of technology in the classroom.

My Project

My students need 2 iPads to use in our classroom to integrate technology and to allow for engaging lessons and activities. My students will use the iPads in our classroom in a variety of ways. They will be able to work on educational assignments and activities in their center work. They will be able to use these iPads as assessment tools that will help us to gauge their areas of growth and to continue working on their academic goals.

These donations will improve student learning immensely.

My students will become familiar with technology, they will be engaged in their learning, and they will be excited to come to school. By having iPads in our room, my students will be able to strengthen their skills. They will also be active in their learning through activities and educational apps that are on the iPad. Many of my students have no desire to come to school. By having iPads as a learning tool, my students will be encouraged.
