The Academy of Arts and Sciences Charter School is changing the world one student at a time! I am an 8th grade English teacher at a city Academy of Arts and Sciences middle school and I believe that all of my students have the ability to be successful.

We are in need of some classroom materials to aid us in being the best 8th grade English class that we can be. With 30 students and 5 classes, my resources and funds are very limited.

The material that I am requesting will assist with my project because they will aid my students in being more organized. The resources that I need includes the basic materials such as folders, colored pencils, dry-erase markers and cubbies. I have requested 3 cubbies, or slots for handing in work for my classroom projects. Since my class will need to hand in daily work and homework, this item will assist them in being organized in the classroom. Also as a motivator, I would like to reward my students with stickers for doing a great job on assignments. We do not have the funds for any posters or visuals, therefore, I am requesting these items not only to motivate my students, but to also encourage them to be organized as a student and person. I want to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for my students. All of these materials will greatly assist me with my classroom project. These materials will allow my students and myself to be organized and stimulated in the classroom.

Your donation will make it possible for my students to be encouraged to come to class and be organized. So many of my students are at the poverty line and have financial difficulties. This prevents them from having the necessary materials to be successful in school. With your help, my school will continue to change the world one student at a time.
