My Students

Remember reading for the first time? The first book I remember reading was "Millions of Cats." I start each school year reading this same book to my students and telling them the story of how I became a reader. This doesn't come as easy for them, and they struggle due to a variety of reasons.

My students are the reason I get out of bed each day.

They are amazing human beings who come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of them have seen more in their 5 short years than I have seen in my entire life. They inspire me to be a better teacher and to find new and exciting ways to help them learn.

My Project

Due to budgets, our classroom was given 12 books by the district to use as our classroom library. My students want to learn how to read, but need to feel successful. With books on CD the students will be able to "read" books to themselves and feel the success that comes with finishing a book.

Your donation will help my students become the successful adults that I know they will be one day.

Reading opens up a whole new world, and I believe if they can be successful in reading they can be successful in everything.
