Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I remember dissecting a pig fetus when I was in high school. It was an exciting moment in my life. Above all, it inspired me to study Biology well after doing this project.
My students are bright.
They are capable of doing more than they are given credit for. I would like to show the world that my students are very capable of excelling in Biology. The fact that a large amount of my students are limited English students can be a barrier in their education. This is where your donation of a frogs will help bridge this gap.
My Project
It is easy for students to give up when it comes to Biology. Especially, with all the standards that need to be covered and depth and complexity of the subject speaks for itself. Your donation of frogs will be the key to keeping my students motivated academically.
Your donation can make a huge difference in many lives.
Doing a dissection is not just mutilating an animal as many people would think. This is a two week project with a culminating assessment which is a practical. This is where my high school students transform into college students, as I model it after most universities. This lab is in turn, the first real chance that my students have to experience being a part of a post high school academic environment.
