My Students

My students are some of the most creative students I have ever met. They love to sing, dance, and play instruments. They are kids who need music to express themselves. Our school is full of hardworking teachers and students who strive for excellence.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play an instrument so bad it hurt?

My students want to grow in their musical abilities and need your assistance purchasing instruments. My students have seen drummers, and I have several who want to learn. They are kids who need music to express themselves.

My Project

My students need AKJ Bullying In Schools, lighting, a drum pedal, software, a Leapster game system, musical chimes, and a Sing and Move CD. The purpose of these items is to complete items that were previously donated. The books will be used for open discussion and are readily available in our class library for those students who want to read quietly. The lighting is for productions during school assemblies and the software will be used to learn guitar skills. The chimes and Music CD will also aid in productions. Lastly the Leapster game system will be for students who are isolated from the class for any reason. The learning Leapster is an alternative to the typical "time out."

Again, there are a plethora of random items requested.

However, all items will be beneficial to our music program. Most importantly, being prepared for our school assemblies is the main purpose for all the items.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
