My Students

Can you imagine music without bass? Try it, lower your bass level while listening to your favorite song. My students are performing songs in the classroom without this much-needed foundation to our music performances. My students love music; please help us have more enriching performances.

My students attend a Title 1 school in Tennessee.

They are awesome kids that, unfortunately, haven't had all of the opportunities that many in our country take for granted. With our current funding and focus on academics, the arts are often neglected. I am trying to provide the best music educational experiences for these awesome kids that I can, so that they too have the same opportunities as other kids in our nation.

My Project

Bass is the foundation of all music. It is the low sounds that the melody builds off of in any piece of music. Without it, music is flat and dull. My students currently perform without the super low bass sounds that add richness and enjoyment to performing a song for their classroom teachers or their parents at a concert. This instrument will add the much needed bass sound to their performances. The students will greatly enjoy playing and hearing the sound it provides to their performances. Try turning down the bass on your car stereo system and notice how empty the song you once loved sounds. Please help my students create songs with the richness they deserve, so that their songs come alive with richness and fullness.

This piece of equipment will last a very long time in our care and will improve the musical experiences of all that enter my music classroom.

Your one-time donation for this bass bar will touch and enhance the lives of many students who just want some bass! From K-5 grade, our students will enjoy playing this instrument and the fullness it brings to their classroom performances.
