My Students

The options are few when it comes time for my students to head out to recess. You could jump rope- we just tied it back together. Or you could play football, but there's no grass. Well, there's always foot races. My students love basketball, but due to tight budgets, we can't offer it.

I teach some amazing kids who are long on talent, and short on resources.

My kids are really great- they have an inspiring interest in learning, and life. When we go out for recess, we try to offer them as much as we can, but basketball hasn't been on the list for years.

My Project

All we are requesting is a portable basketball hoop so that my students have the opportunity to engage in one of their favorite activities during recess time. I see far too many kids standing around with nothing to do during recess - when the whole point is to inspire healthy decisions and actions.

I selected the most affordable hoop set, and the price is still beyond our reach.

My kids deserve to have fun and enjoy their school day, and recess is a great part of that. With our limited resources, I don't feel like we are offering what they deserve. Thank you for helping my students love their school, and stay active at the same time.
