My Students

I love art and so do the kids in my classroom! My students have a great opportunity this year!!! A local artist has offered to come in and teach a watercolor painting class. This is very exciting!!!!

I teach 4th grade in a small Oregon coastal town.

This is a high needs community and a Title I low income school. I have a classroom full of 31 wonderful kids! I am so excited to start the school year. I am passionate about my job and I love art! I love to promote creativity in my classroom and I try to pass on my love of art to the kids.

My Project

We have a very artsy community here and several galleries in our town. A local artist has offered to come in and teach my students how to watercolor paint. This is a great opportunity for the kids. The teacher is very inspiring and my students will learn a ton about the elements of art. The only problem is we don't have the supplies needed for the class. The local artist has offered to let us use her brushes, but we still need artist grade watercolor paper and paint. I am asking for a few brushes too because I have such a large group of students this year.

These art supplies will help make this wonderful opportunity come true!

The pieces of artwork that have come from the students of this particular art teacher are amazing. I cannot wait to see what my students create! Thank you for taking the time to read our classroom project. :)
