Anti-Bullying Curriculum

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the students at our school who have been identified as needing MORE.

My work with them allows them to connect with a supporter, someone in their corner. I actively work to build their 40 Assets, helping them with more opportunities for success when they leave us.

My Project

Play therapy is a crucial component in a comprehensive Cognitive Behavioral Counseling model. Play allows my students an opportunity to be in a relaxed setting, allowing them to feel safe to share, allows them to feel reinforced, supported, and celebrated. Each game gives them an opportunity to exercise another social skill in real time, that will benefit them in all their future social engagements.

A brand new board game, and an adult who WANTS to play with them.

A chance to have the undivided attention of someone who cares for them unconditionally. An opportunity for social engagement with targeted guidance and feedback. These things can all make a difference in a child's life.
